Success by Definition

What is success? Success is defined in the New Lexicon Webster’s Encyclopedic Dictionary as follows: “the accomplishment of what is desired or aimed at//attainment of wealth, fame prosperity etc.” Even though there is a true definition for success, we all have our own idea of what success means to us.

When people start in a business of their own you hear them say “I want to be successful.” When you ask them to elaborate for you it varies greatly from the stay at home mom who would like to make an extra $1000.00 to help pay the mortgage and build her self-esteem by contributing to the household income, to the father of three who would like to match his income so that he can work from home and be with his family more, to the person who wants it all. A business that allows them to work from home, set their own hours, spend more time with their family, vacation when and where they want and enough money that not only they can live comfortably but also their children and grandchildren.

When speaking to these people as a coach and mentor you have to be very careful not to cross the line and try to build a business larger then what each person wants. Yes, as time goes on some may change their mind and want to shoot for the stars but we cannot force that upon those that are not willing.

As your group grows be sure to listen to all those that are in your business and help them to build the business to THEIR level of success, not yours. Only by doing so will you really be able to say that you are a true leader.

To be successful in a multilevel marketing business you need to get the skills required to make you a successful leader. There is a program that is now available on line that is unlike any other. It has been in the making now for four years by creator Nadira Haniff. It is a hands on program that gives people enrolled one-on-one coaching to develop both mindset and skill set that is required to be a successful leader. Enrollment is limited, apply today!

Is Network Marketing Right for You?

There's a common myth that network marketing is all about selling, so those people that do not see themselves as "salespeople" shy away from it. However, if you think about it, it is the misconception of what people have in their subconscious mind of a Salesperson that bothers people. They are thinking of someone pressuring them to buy something they don’t need or want. If you want to enter the world of business, you must first learn how to sell. Manipulation, deception, pressure, false sincerity, phony smiles, is not selling. Selling is communication. True selling is about caring, listening, solving problems and serving people. True selling or communication is not about how many sales you make or how big your commission cheque is -- not at all. True selling means being passionate about your company’s product or service and being compassionate with the wants, dreams and needs of the people you serve. When you give, you shall receive. Sales is a true personal development journey. Everything that you learn about selling, about people, about presenting, about marketing, about handling objections, you will learn it from being a Network Marketer. I have learned so much about myself in my own journey and there is still so much to learn.

I invite you to join us to take network marketing to a new level. Visit my website to learn about a program that will teach you the skill set and the mindset that is required to win in business. This program has been in the making for four years by Nadira Haniff who gives a hands on approach so you will succeed in business. Once your business is soaring you will have the opportunity to renew confidence and belief in others so that they too can achieve incredible heights in their financial and personal life.

A Strong Foundation is Essential

In the world we live in today we are all use to getting what we want, when we want it. Working for anything and waiting until we can afford it has become obsolete. We all want instant gratification.

If you want to build a stable and secure home-based business, one has to remember that there is no such thing as “get rich quick.” Those schemes that are out there will crumble and fall taking with it your money, the trust of some of your friends, but most importantly your reputation.

Robert Kiyosaki wrote in his book “Rich Dad, Poor Dad”:

“If you are going to build the Empire State Building, the first thing you need to do is dig a deep hole and pour a strong foundation. If you are going to build a home in the suburbs, all you need to do is pour a 6-inch slab of concrete. Most people in their drive to get rich, are trying to build an Empire State Building on a 6-inch slab.”

You should think of your network marketing business in the same manner. It will take time and effort to build that foundation but you will be rewarded with a strong, successful business that will last a lifetime.

Twenty five entrepreneurs committed to building a strong foundation for their business within the next 180 days with a program that has been in the development stage for four years. The creator and coach, Nadira Haniff works with us on a daily basis and guides our business in all areas to build the mindset and skill set that is required for us to succeed. To receive more information on this program visit www.180daystomarketingsuccess.com you will be glad that you did!!

Turn Downline Questions Into Leadership Training Opportunities

In direct sales and network marketing, you have the incredible opportunity to build an organization of independent distributors and receive compensation on the sales volume they generate. Your organization’s size can be in the hundreds, the thousands, the tens of thousands, and beyond. However, whether you have one distributor in your downline or one hundred thousand, you do not have enough hours in the day to answer each and every question from them. Remember, they are supposed to be INDEPENDENT distributors and an effective leader will treat them as such. If not, the leader will cease to lead and will instead slip into that dangerous condition known as “management mode.”

A more prudent way to handle questions from your downline is to turn each question into an opportunity to train that distributor. For example, if John Doe asks, “Can I sign up someone who lives in France?” then you would direct her to her back office or company website and ask her to look at the list of countries in which your company does business.

This serves a number of purposes, including:
a) John finds her answer on her own which develops self-confidence;
b) John familiarizes herself with her back office or company website; and,
c) Most importantly, John will have the opportunity to personally read the list of other open countries for potential business.

You must resist the urge to answer basic questions like this, even if you know the answer off the top of your head. It is important to train your distributors on HOW to find information so they can work as independently as possible on the small details. That way, the time you spend with them can be used productively to prospect, enroll new distributors, and to build your relationships.

Embrace the philosophy that “every question is an opportunity for training” and watch your distributors become more independent, more confident, and more productive. Don’t be a manager – be a leader!

180 Days to Greatness – A Marketing Experiment – My Personal Journey October 26, 2008

Hello, Suzanne Lavigne here once again for my weekly update on my personal journey in the group “180 Days to Greatness”.

Once again it has been an astounding week!!

Just when I think that there is not possibly anything else that I can learn, anything else that I can possibly squeeze into my already packed schedule out comes an e-mail from our outstanding coach Nadira Haniff. There is one more activity that we should start adding into our regimen if we really would like our business to reach the goals that were set out at the beginning of this program. Like a real trooper that is ready to take action on the spur of a moment I tackle this activity like it is a matter of life and death. I know after 25 days that I need to act now without hesitation. I put my business life in the hands of Nadira who only wants the best for all on her team.

One thing that really amazed me this week was when I had a business phone me – that’s right, they phoned me – asking for information about my product. That is something that has never happened to me before. Whether it is the mindset that I was taught and the confidence that I am gaining in this program I was able to speak clearly with confidence about my product and to offer more information. My voice was strong and unwavering.

I highly recommend the program 180 days to greatness to all those with a home based business. Whether you are floundering and do not know where to turn or if you are successful with you MLM business there is something that everyone can gain from the 180 days program. It is a hands on program with one-on-one coaching. There is absolutely nothing like it on the internet anywhere!!

Visit the site www.180daystomarketingsuccess.com and register for this program. It will be the best thing for you and your business. But hurry, enrolment is limited and you really do not want to be disappointed and miss the opportunity of a lifetime.

Treat your Network Marketing Business Seriously

It costs very little to get started in the average network marketing business. Because of the low cost of entry, most people do not treat it seriously. Their network marketing business becomes more of a hobby than a real business. This is one of the major reasons the majority of people in the industry do not succeed. How can you expect your home based business to really grow and bear fruit if you don’t treat it seriously and devote some time and energy into building it?

I am proud to be part of a team of individual network marketers who treat their businesses seriously. Everyone involved on the team is committed to helping each other succeed. When a team such as ours is united and focused on achieving a goal—that team is unstoppable. It is never a question of whether, but a question of when!

Our team is focused on achieving results within the next 180 days. It will certainly take a lot of effort, including the development of new skills, but it will certainly be worth it!

This program took 4 years for Nadia Haniff to develop and is now being offered to the public. You can get more details at www.180daystomarketingsuccess.com but hurry she is only taking 500 people into the program. You do need to apply so not just everyone is accepted.Check out our group website www.180daystogreatnesss and see how we are progressing towards our goals. You are welcome to add comments, make suggestions and join in some of our discussions.

Take Action Today, Reap the Rewards Tomorrow

You need to create the habit of ACTION. Not an easy task. If taking action were easy, you would already be wealthy. Your ability to take action is what separates you from becoming successful or staying mediocre.Does this sound familiar?

Today I will start eating right and will exercise.

Today I will stop smoking. This is the day that I will start the process of becoming my own boss.

This is the day that I will start building my home based business and become a successful network marketer.

Each day we silently speak to ourselves through thought and get excited about making change and then weeks go by and we find we are still in the same old rut.

So what is it that's preventing you from moving forward, who is standing in your way? The answer is YOU.

If you fail to take ACTION, then you fail to progress and move toward what you really want from life. You need to wake up and do it and you need to do it today.

As the saying goes…If you continue doing what you've always done then you will continue getting what you've ways got.

This is your wake up call; this is your call to action and your call to greatness.

I am part of a marketing program called 180 days to greatness that teaches both the mindset and the skill set to succeed in business. This program has been in the making for four years by Nadira Haniff and there is nothing like this on the internet as it is a hands on, one-on-one coaching program. K.I.S.S. Your Prospect

If it seems that you are having a hard time getting people interested in your business, it may be that you are giving out far too much information.

We are all excited about the business that we are promoting, but it seems that the one obstacle a new person has to overcome is the fact that they want to tell their prospects everything that they know. The new person has a case of what is known as “verbal diarrhea.” They talk and talk and lose their prospect on the very first contact. If you are having a face-to-face contact, you can notice their interest fade when their eyes start to glaze over and they start to look around. If you are on the phone the person on the other end tends not to respond when you finally do pause for a moment. These people are looking for a way to escape and are probably hanging onto the conversation to be polite.

What we need to remember about that first contact is to Keep It Super Simple. It should only last between 45 – 60 seconds and we call this “an elevator speech.” If you keep it simple the prospect will become inquisitive and ask questions and once they start to ask questions you know that they are interested. The more questions they have the better it is for you. Those questions can usually be answered by sending them to an informative website, sending them a video link or mailing them out some printed material. When you do get back for a second contact if there are questions that are still not answered than you have the ability to answer them then.

So remember to K.I.S.S your prospects and you will get your business off to a great start.

I am part of a marketing program called 180 days to greatness that teaches both the mindset and the skill set to succeed in business. This program has been in the making for four years by Nadira Haniff and there is nothing like this on the internet as it is a hands on, one-on-one coaching program. Success Comes with a Price

Success in business comes with a price we all have to pay. There are very few that are willing to sacrifice and give up a few things in order to achieve the success and greatness that we all strive for with our home based business.

I am not expecting people to give up their family time, church or their exercise routines (we all want to be strong and healthy so we can enjoy the fruits of our labour). I am talking about the mundane activities that we do every day. The one that comes quickly to mind and takes up most of our time, but we find so hard to do without, is the hours that we spend in front of the TV. Do you really think that your one tiny vote will be the deciding factor on who wins the next Canadian/American idol or if you don’t watch CSI that those investigators will never catch their man?

We as a society waste so much time being couch potatoes that we let our lives pass us by without a second glance. Those hours spent in front of the TV can be replaced by activities that will move you forward in your business and help you achieve financial freedom.

You need to make the decision, and make that decision now to give up that TV for the success of your business. I know that it is a price that I am willing to pay!!

Remember: There are no PV’s in TV

There is a program that will help to give you the mindset and the skill set that is required to get your business soaring. We are coached by Nadira Haniff and it is hands on, one on one training unlike anything else on the internet. Visit www.180daystomarketingsuccess.com for more information and to register. But hurry she is only taking the first 500 successful applicants.

Are You Ready to Build a Thriving Home Based Business?

If you are ready to build a thriving home based business then pay close attention to the words of Dale Carnegie who said: "You can make more friends in two months by becoming interested in other people than you can in two years by trying to get other people interested in you."

Unfortunately, most salespeople do not spend enough time letting their customer talk to develop a solid relationship.

When trying to understand how to network, we need to learn that “networking is about forming relationships and creating win-win situations.”

In order to help the other person we have to look for a solution to a problem they have.

That solution might be simply passing along a pertinent piece of information. It may be by giving them a referral, or making an introduction. It doesn't matter in what way you help people. The important thing is that you give freely and often.

You see, that's what distinguishes the Networking Superstar from someone who simply networks. It's his/her ability to understand the importance of making things happen for other people instead of concentrating all their energy on themselves.

You've heard it a million times: what goes around comes around; people support people who support them. Simply help enough other people get business and the business you are seeking will, in turn, come your way.

How are you supposed to know what people need or how you can help? It's very simple: become a good listener. Listen to what they say...and to what they don't say. Provide solutions before they even know they have a problem. The act of giving applies to all facets of our lives.

Information is power so you have to use your brain as a file cabinet. Store every resource, every contact, every idea you've ever had, any article you have read, and all your expertise in there and draw on its contents freely and often to help other people. They, in turn will help you. That is how you create win-win situations. And that is how your business begins to grow.

Give openly and freely, expecting nothing in return. It may not come back to you immediately. It may not come back to you directly, but it will come back to you eventually.

180 Days to Greatness – A Marketing Experiment – My Personal Journey October 19, 2008

Hello, Suzanne Lavigne here once again for my weekly update on my personal journey in the group “180 Days to Greatness”. Well let me see how best I can explain this past week.

WOW!! Wow and even a few more WOW’s because I am at a loss for words!! But I will try.

I have made calls to people that I know I NEVER would have spoke to before I enrolled in this program. The mindset that I now have has armed me with such confidence that I am sure that I can speak to anyone. In this past week I have made 90 telephone calls and from those calls I am sending out 58 packets of information to people who are interested in my product from my Primary business!

I am also speaking to people one-on-one, which is a little harder to track as that is an ongoing relationship that is built and like all good relationships it takes time.

The marketing that I am now doing online is an area that I really was lacking in before I started the 180DaysToGreatness Program. I knew all along that there were so many different ways to market online but I just did not know how to go about getting started. But with the hands on approach that Nadira Haniff has utilized with this program I am able to do more online marketing and I know that with perseverance I can only excel in this area also.

Whether you have had a home based business or a network marketing business for a few months or a few years there is so much that you can learn with the 180Days Program. Now I know the difference between people who have a business and people who work their business.

One last thing that has really made this an exceptional week is the fact that I found out that the 180Days Program is now going to be offered to the public. Do you know what this means? You can also enrol and benefit from all the experience and know how that Nadira is sharing with the world!! Once you enrol you will begin an incredible journey, just like mine, that will hone the skills day after day, which are required to get your business to soar to new heights.

Visit the site www.180DaysToMarketingSuccess.com and register for this program. It will be the best thing for you and your business. But hurry, enrolment is limited and you really do not want to be disappointed and miss the opportunity of a lifetime.

I would love to see you all at the top, the very top, the tip top…

SUPER-SIZED, DOWN-SIZED, AND GLOBALIZED The Changing Face of America’s Workplace

America’s workplace has changed. People my age (Gen-X’ers) will change careers six times. Corporate America has down-sized and Small Business is now Big Business! We are in the middle of a Home-Based Business Boom with 50,000 new Home-Based Businesses starting weekly according to www.entrepreneurmag.com People no longer frown at those who work from home but envy them.

Several Key Factors to Look for when Choosing a home based business:

Find a reputable company with proven leadership. Whether you are starting a traditional business, or joining a Network Marketing Company; a company is only as good as its leaders. Do your homework, ask questions, and investigate. A company can ultimately only be as good as the folks at the top.
Is it the right industry? Servicing retiring baby boomers is IN and will be IN for a LONG TIME! The fastest growing segment of the population is those over 100! Companies that service this demographic will be in business for a LONG time.
Go Global. In his book: “The World is Flat” Thomas Friedman points out that with the advent of Globalization, the world is a level playing field. The average Jane/Joe can now do a better job, many times, than the big guys. Start with a company that is either global in scope or can go global with minimal effort. Is the product/service consumable? Is the product/service border friendly?
Infrastructure. In their new book: “Why We Want You to be Rich” Donald Trump and Robert Kiyosaki talk about leverage. Smart people LEVERAGE themselves for maximum profitability. America’s first billionaire, J. Paul Getty said: “I’d rather have 1% of 100 people’s efforts than 100% of my own. Kiyosaki says, “Successful people look for and build Networks everyone else just looks for work.” Whether it’s a home based business, or traditional business; ask yourself, “Is the infra-structure and network in place to sustain long term growth and expansion?
Use the Internet. Don’t fear it, use it. You don’t have to be a “nerd” to “cash-in” on this trend that has only just begun. Get on social networks and start blogging. Let people find you and use your help as the expert you are.

Time is moving and CHANGE is the only constant. Find something you are passionate about, plug into a success system, and let’s have fun, help people, and make a lot of money!

There is one program that has now just opened up to the public. They are only taking the first 500 successful applicants and I, Suzanne Lavigne highly recommend it. Our coach, Nadira Haniff has taken her knowledge and wrapped it up into a very exceptional hands on program. There is nothing that can even come close to it on or off the internet. Click on this link www.180daystomarketingsuccess.com and enroll before this program is full. Once you start applying all of the tactics that are taught your business will soar to great heights.

Why the Confusion about Network Marketing?

Some people just don’t get it when you ask them about Network Marketing. Without any valid evidence to rest their case upon, they dismiss it as “one of those things.” Surely it’s a scam!!

A scam? Yes, there are plenty of scams out there in the free world, but done properly and with integrity, network marketing is not one of them. Are there companies using the network marketing business model who do not operate with integrity or without the best interest of their customers? Of course, but they exist in traditional business as well. So do your homework, as you would when evaluating any business.

Let’s look at a traditional business model and dissect one big difference between the two models. That difference would be advertising.

Traditionally, if a business has a product or service to get into the marketplace, research would be done to determine exactly what kind of penetration could be made after implementing various advertising methods. The cost of advertising would be a serious redline on the balance sheet until sales were made to get the company in profit. This example is extremely simplified for illustration, but the point is this – no sales typically occur until after advertising is made, and even then, it’s a crap shoot.

Now let’s look at the model used in network marketing. Here, all advertising is done through word-of-month. Then, the “fee” for advertising (which is done through individual distributors), is not paid out UNTIL product or service is sold. This just makes good business sense. Although there are many risks involved in starting any business, the risk of paying for advertising while not knowing (and only guessing) the outcome of the advertising, often an extremely high expense for any business, is virtually eliminated.

Who are you more likely to trust -- Your friend, a billboard or random magazine ad?
Network marketing is not a scam; it is simply a way of rewarding those who take the time to let others know about a needed product or service. Do some real investigating and learn the facts before you dismiss this growing business model.

I am part of an online group that is taking a marketing challenge called 180 days to greatness. We have a coach, Nadira Haniff who assigns daily tasks that need to be completed. This program is exceptional and I would recommend everyone signing up for it as it is now available to the public. But HURRY it is limited to the first 500 people. Don’t be disappointed. Suzanne Lavigne gives her word that you will not regret it. It is the best thing that I have ever done. Visit www.180daystomarketingsuccess and get started today!!

Why ALL Home Based Business Owners and Network Marketers Need a Blog

Unless you’ve been living under a ROCK, you undoubtedly know what blogs are and if you don't, a blog is: A website with regular entries of content. That content could be ANYTHING - commentary, rants, raves, descriptions of events, etc. And it can include graphics, video and audio.

Why are blogs so IMPORTANT? They allow people to communicate, to say anything, anytime, anywhere, across the country and across the world. We as human beings LOVE to express ourselves in so many different ways and a blog is yet another way for us to communicate via the internet.

So why are blogs important to your business? Because they allow you to communicate with your audience. You're in business to provide a product or service to your customer, right? People need to know about you and your product. The ongoing RELATIONSHIP with your business partners, your downline, and your customers are essential.

A blog allows the home business owner or network marketer to constantly let their audience know what they’re doing. Here are some of the other things you as a business owner can do with your Blog:

Run a contest
Launch a new product
Run a training course
Take a poll
Have your users subscribe to a newsletter
Sell a product or service

The most popular blogs that folks use are Wordpress and Blogger which is owned by Google. You can either host your own blog, in which case you have to purchase hosting space from a web hosting provider, or you can let Wordpress or Blogger host your blog for you.

To create, manage, and add content to your blog might seem daunting at first, but Wordpress and Blogger are super easy to learn. Once you get the hang of it, you'll be a blogging pro in no time.

One last thing - search engines just love blogs! Why? Because if you provide your blog with content on a frequent basis, and your topics are on focus, Google will eventually pick up your blog content and index it which means it will be searchable on Google.

So, jump in, give it a try, and have fun.

Happy Blogging!

Network Marketing – A Relationship Business

Network marketing is all about building relationships with other people. Just like it is in everyday life, and you have to treat it as such. Network marketing is not about being “that car salesman”. With that type of mentality you will not get far and will probably fail.

Relationships are about being honest and trustworthy. When you put the relationship first, customers and clients will forgive your mistakes and work with you.

Relationships are about giving unconditionally. A prospect that receives personal attention is more likely to do business with you than your competitor. My business inspires hope, dignity & pride within me, and I especially love sharing those dynamics with others, as they see "the light come on" for themselves, as they find the same value and benefit.

As each person in your downline is busy building their business, they are also building yours as well. That's the power of leverage. Good customers often, by word of mouth, promote businesses in ways unimaginable. Viral marketing is one of the most powerful sales tools available. If you make it a point to put integrity first, that will resonate with your customers and they will think of you as a representative of a trustworthy company.

Unfortunately, I think we sometimes get swept away by all that "hype and close" and forget to apply our own personal beliefs to our business. The definition of a relationship is a connection or involvement. These connections cannot and do not happen when your whole goal is to make a sale. “You can make more friends in two months by becoming interested in other people than you can in two years by trying to get others interested in you.” Dale Carnegie

Relationships do not happen solely through good intentions. They start with the act to connect. And it starts with a single encounter – your next one.

I am taking part in a marketing experiment that started with 25 ordinary people working towards one common goal. The friendships that we have made will live beyond this program as we got to know each other along the way. Come join us and watch our journey at www.180daystogreatness.com

Make a Living or Design a Life

We all have choices in life. One of the biggest choices we’ll make in life is best said in a quote by Jim Rohn, “ We all have two choice: We can make a living or design a life.” Think about that for just a moment. What would it be like to design your life ANY way you’d like? Imagine the feeling of literally owning your life, to do what you want when you want to do it. To take a vacation where you want, when you want and stay as long as you choose to do so as money is no longer ruling how you live your life.

It’s a way of life that many dream of, but relatively few experience. So what’s the difference? Some are willing to pay the price while others settle for mediocrity. Some are willing to do what it takes today so they can live the life that they dream of tomorrow. Those people realize that there is no such thing as instant gratification but will settle for the rewards of there work in the future. Are you willing to pay the price for your success and your freedom?

I recently became part of a group of 25 ordinary people who are willing to pay the price and take massive action towards our goals for the next 180 days and we’re doing it in plain sight for all to see. We’re already down to 20 on our marketing team. Our coach, Nadira Haniff, assigns weekly and daily tasks that need to be completed for us to succeed. Do you have what it takes to make it through this program?

We will soon be taking the program 180 days to greatness out to the public and I urge everyone that has a home-based business to undertake this program not because it is easy but because it is hard. 180 Days to Greatness – A Marketing Experiment – My Personal Journey October 12, 2008

Hello, Suzanne Lavigne here once again for my weekly update on my personal journey in the group “180 Days to Greatness”. Well it has now been 12 days that we have been on this marketing journey, with lots of work the previous week that went on behind the scenes to get us all ready for the big launch.

How was this past week? Well, the marketing strategies which we apply to grow your business and succeed in this group are demanding and I mean real challenging! My head is full and how much more can I take? I really am thankful that my brain can add knowledge but it does not expand like a balloon when adding air or I am sure at this point I would not be able to fit through any doors!

I slacked off for a couple of days due to a health issue only to be thrown a lifeline by our coach Nadira Haniff. Was it one of those warm fuzzy “Don’t worry about it, hope you are feeling better soon” lifelines. No, it was just only a tiny bit of fuzzy, more of “winning is not easy”. “This is only acceptable once and if it happens again you may get VOTED OFF!” Yikes! A little harsh I thought but let me tell you I am so very grateful for the reality check.

It made me realize that there was no goofing around in this group. I would be made to do my thing, learn new skills, and hone the ones that I have acquired. I would have to be accountable just like the others in the group for everything that was expected of me. What will be my reward when I complete this 180 day challenge to greatness? I will have a phenomenal business of my own both on line and offline. The skill set and mindset required to succeed not only in business but in life and the confidence that only comes after you complete something extraordinary.

To top this all off I was informed that this program will soon be going out to the general public. This is incredible! There will be more ordinary people just like myself who will have the opportunity to experience this marketing challenge and all the benefits that come with it. Please stay tune right here for updates so you will be the first to know when it will be available. You really do not want to miss your chance. Come and follow us on our site, make comments and get an early start on building your business at www.180daystogreatness.com.

To sum this week up I can only tell you what my husband said to me last night as he sauntered into the bedroom without me yet again. “I guess I will see you in bed a little later. It has been such a long time that I have seen you so focused, so determined and yet so happy!!”

How do I sum this up in one word? AMAZING, PHENOMONAL, INTENSE, INCREDIBLE. Oh sorry, that is more then one word but like this journey I just keep on going!!

Come join this incredible adventure, so I can see you all at the top, the very top, the tip top…

Benefits of a Home Based Business

In today’s society with the cost of gas, health care, and taxes, what can we do to lessen the affect on our pocketbook? Every day, in every home someone is asking themselves “What can I do to make money on my own, or what can I do to help make ends meet?” But what opportunities are out there and which are the best?

Home Based Businesses are the answer and the best available is that of direct marketing. The direct selling industry is at $80 billion a year and that number is rapidly climbing. Did you know that on average there are five new businesses started in the United States every minute? These are all started by average people just looking to make an extra $500-$1000 in supplemental income.

Common Reasons for starting a home based business
Ø No boss or employees
Ø Set your own hours
Ø No commuting, work from home
Ø Able to deduct some home expenses
Ø No glass ceiling on income
Ø Tax deductions

But are you aware of the other reasons not related to time or money?
Ø The desire to be recognized
Ø Personal development
Ø Love of product or services
Ø Be around like-minded professionals

There are many benefits and reasons to start in the network marketing (MLM) industry. What is yours? What is holding you back from achieving success and surpassing your goals?

Check out a group that I am working with to see if it may spur you on to get involved with this incredible industry. We are 25 ordinary people that do not know each other and have nothing to gain by the success of anyone else on the team. We have one goal in mind and that is to bring into our group 100 people in 180 days Join us at www.180daystogreatness.com

What Once was Old is New Again

Everything that comes and goes is considered a trend. Depending on your age you may remember those large bell bottom pants (I use to call them elephant pants) the bottoms were so big you nearly tripped over the other pant leg when you were walking or do you remember those satin shirts that looked like they were made from the same design as a bed spread. Actually I think that those clothes have come again. I am now regressing and I should get back to the topic at hand. As can be seen trends come and go only to be reborn by the next generation as something new and exciting. These trends seem to happen in every facet of life not just clothes. Even the cars we are driving reflect the style of vehicles of earlier times.

Years ago everything was purchased, traded, or bartered for by word of mouth. This trend has been making a come back over the past sixty years but in more recent times has really caught on with the public as people are hungry for personal attention. Aren’t we all tired of going into the big box stores where we wondered around forever trying to find someone that can help us?

Here is a quote taken from the book by Daniel pink as was stated in the book titled “The World is Flat” by Thomas L. Friedman, Economist and three time Pulitzer Prize winner.

“To flourish in this age, we’ll need to supplement our well developed high- tech abilities with aptitudes that are “high concept” and “high touch.” High concept involves the ability to create artistic and emotional beauty, to detect patterns and opportunities, to craft a satisfying narrative, and to come up with inventions the world didn’t know it was missing. High touch involves the capacity to empathize, to understand the subtleties of human interaction, to find joy in one’s self and to elicit it in others, and to stretch beyond the quotidian in pursuit of purpose and meaning.”

This is what Network Marketing is all about. It is reaching out to other people, touching their lives so that they can live their life to the fullest. It is being involved with the right company that truly cares about people and shares the wealth to those involved but also gives back in some way to the rest of the world.

I am involved with a group of 25 ordinary people that do not know each other and have nothing to gain by the success of anyone else on the team. We have one goal in mind and that is to bring into our group 100 people in 180 days. Our group is coached by Nadira Haniff, who gives us daily tasks and we also have daily, weekly and monthly goals. Network Marketing – Nightmare or Sweet Dreams?

Yes, we have all heard the horror stories of my best friend’s brother who had a cousin who knew somebody in one of those things that had a garage filled with stuff that they were stuck with. When they sold their house they even left them all there so that the people who bought that house would have to deal with it. I know that I myself, Suzanne Lavigne, have heard these stories or similar over time. But is there any truth to any of those urban type legends. I am sure that we all know of someone who has been in one network marketing business or another over a period of time but are they all created equal and is it the company that failed them or did they fail themselves?

There are many different companies that choose to market their products through the network marketing business model. These days it can be referred to as Multi Level Marketing, Network Marketing, Direct Marketing or even Relationship Marketing. There are reasons why companies choose to market this way.

1. Their product does not get put into stores where it will be lost among thousands of other products that may or may not be similar in nature. Taking up space and increasing overhead costs which are usually passed onto the consumer, that’s you
2. Word of mouth is the fastest way to get something on the market. If you like something then you will tell others, who tell others, who tell others etc. Also word of mouth keeps advertising costs down and that results in lower product costs to the consumer

So why does the average person decide to join an MLM company? There are many reasons including time leverage, residual income and tax benefits. Network marketing is one of the few businesses that do not require employees but you can leverage your time by building a network of people. The network that you have built and helped those people to become successful generates a residual income for you. This income will keep working for you long after you stop working. This is not like your regular nine to five job. When you stop working so does your income. The last reason is the tax savings. The average network marketing home business can result in a tax savings of $3000.00 - $9000.00 per year!

The sad truth is many people give up on their business, give up on their dreams and go back to their jobs thinking that their home based business was a nightmare and the system just does not work. The real truth is that many people give up just before the scale tipped in their favour and if they had stayed with it just a little longer the rewards would have been far greater then they ever would have imagined.

I am involved with a group of 25 ordinary people that do not know each other and have nothing to gain by the success of anyone else on the team. Our group is called 180 days to greatness and we have a coach, Nadira Haniff, who gives us daily tasks to complete and we also have daily, weekly and monthly goals. SHOW ME THE MONEY! - Networking a brilliant solution

I was talking to a friend the other day about this BIG, new promotion she had received at work. She was telling me about her new office, her assistant, her new title, and all the new things that were being placed at her disposal, but never once did she say anything about the MONEY. So I asked her, “So, Terri exactly how much money are they paying you to take on this responsibility”? With a startled look, she told me that it would only amount to a couple thousand dollars a year. I absolutely LOST it!! “You have got to be kidding”, I said. “You are selling out for a few hundred dollars a month!” I couldn’t believe that my best friend, the person who had told me no so many times when I asked her to come into business with me, was settling for so little. I couldn’t contain myself.

As we finished our meal, I reached into my bag and pulled out a small booklet. “Terri” I said. “We have been over this many times, and every time you have told me no. If you aren’t interested this time, we will leave it at that. But I care about you too much to let you continue going down this path”.

She sat there silently as I explained about my home based business. I told her about the new product launch of the cleanest greenest skin nutrition on the planet. I told her of how in the previous 5 years our company had done a Billion dollars in sales with only ONE product. Then I showed her, how by working smart once, we are able to generate thousands of dollars in additional income weekly and monthly; not yearly as she does.

“You see Terri”, I said. “By helping someone else achieve their financial goals, you can achieve your own. It’s really quite simple. Let’s say you find 5 business partners. You will receive a check from the company for $300 each; that’s $1,500. Now here’s the really cool part. When they get their 5 business partners, you get another $150 each. So let’s see, that’s 5 who get 5.” Terri nodded. She finally got it! And it’s called leveraging in business. Corporations leverage employees to bring in bigger profits, the unfortunate part is employees, get stuck on fixed income, while cost of living rises and job security is on shaky ground. Who’s in trouble? It’s always the employee!

As we completed her application Terri said, “You know, I would have joined you years ago if you would have just SHOWN ME THE MONEY!”

Let us show you the money, the camaraderie and the mission of winning in business and life. http://www.180daystogreatness.com/ is a site that shows 25 ordinary people who have come together with one common goal. 180 Days to Greatness – A Marketing Experiment – My Personal Journey October 5, 2008

Hi everyone, this is Suzanne Lavigne. Well, week one is over and what a week it has been. There is no such thing as a learning curve with this marketing experiment. It is a vertical climb straight up and there is no room to fail and fall or you will get left behind.

Nadira Haniff, our coach, states that this is a boot camp of sorts and we will see who will make and who will break. The winners may be battered and bruised by the time we cross the line at the end of the 180 days but we will have succeeded in business and stretched ourselves to go way beyond our limits. She is pushing us to see exactly what we are capable of doing and not all of us will be there in the end. She first stated when we applied that this was not for the faint of heart but for the thick skinned and we will find out just how thick our skin will have to be or how thick a skin we would have to grow!

Join us on our social site to see how many of us will make it to the end. You can make comments, add to discussion, cheer us on and follow us on our journey to the finish line. Will all the sleepless nights, running around, cramming and panicking be worth it in the end? I think it will, so does my family and so does this team. We all must remember to keep our eye on the prize and do not deviate from the path. Together we will achieve greatness. Of this I am confident. For the first time in my business, I feel that the path is clear, that my thought process is congruent with my goals and I know this program will build character and stamina that will allow me to go on to even greater heights. I’ll see you here www.180daystogreatnesss.com

I will see you all at the top, the very top, the tip top!!

LET THE DREAMS BEGIN – You deserve to win in life

Money. do you have it? Do you need it? If you do need it, what do you need it for? How much do you need? Moreover, what would you be willing to do to get it?

I do believe that dreaming - backed up with total belief that you can and will achieve your dream - works.

However, dreaming alone will not fulfill your dreams. Just like setting goals, you need to be specific when dreaming. For example, if your dream is to have a fancy car, don't go window shopping at the Kia dealership, go to a Jaguar or Mercedes dealership then put together a plan to acquire the money to purchase that car.

I do NOT believe that money can buy you happiness; but money CAN afford you all the other things that you may want in this life. And, there is absolutely nothing wrong with driving a Mercedes or living in a big house, is there?

What do you want out of life? A bigger home? A fancier car? To send your children to better schools? Freedom so you can spend more time with your family? To retire early?

Let's get specific. Let's say your dream is to own a new Mercedes. Well, as we know, a Mercedes can cost as little as $40,000 and as much as $80,000 dollars, AND MORE. So, for this example, let's assume the Mercedes of your dream would cost you $40,000.

If you were to finance this car, your monthly payments would run around $700 - $800 per month for the next 5-6 years.

Now, let's assume that between you and your spouse (if you are married) you bring home $2,000 a month, after taxes. It wouldn't make much sense to spend half of that on a vehicle, so let's look at what it would take to earn that extra money: You could take on an extra job and work an extra 4 hours a day (5 days a week). If you earn $10.00 per hour, after taxes, that would be an extra $160.00 per week and would just about take care of your Mercedes payment. Would it be worth it? Well, you would have your Mercedes, however, you would now be working most of the time for the next 5 years. In my opinion, having to work a second job just to pay for a fancy car, pretty much takes the fun out of owning it.

Now, let's look at what it would take to earn the money for your new Mercedes instead of working an extra job leveraging other people's time. Let's say you start a home business and you get 2 new members in the next week, and follow the plan for Perfect Duplication (ie: 2 new members sign up 2 new members who can and will get 2 new members) and each person makes their 2 members within a week (they also get 2 more members who can and will get 2 members). Within 16 weeks, you could not only buy that new Mercedes, you could also buy your spouse a Kia Sorento*!

So, now let's compare the two different methods of earning the extra money:

1.) You work an extra job which will require approximately 6,000 hours of work, or
2.) You choose networking. You made 2 sales and then that was it.

So, 5 years of working 4 hours a day, 5 days a week or sign up 2 members who can and will sign up 2 members.

It's the power of leveraging people's time. It's the power of networking. Learn more about networking, camaraderie, teamwork and winning in business at www.180daystogreatness.com

MultiLevel Marketing Explained

What is multilevel marketing?

MLM companies set up the end user as the distributor of the products and give them the ability to both sell the product/service of the company and recruit and train new distributors to do the same thing. The reward for doing so is a commission from the sales generated by the distributor and the sales of the recruited distributors in his/her sales organization, or downline.

This system is very attractive because it offers wealth and independence for a relatively small up-front cost. And this allows more people to be able to participate and get their entrepreneurial juices flowing.

You will want to be sure to choose the right company. Companies that are debt free and that have been successful in using the MLM structure as their business model for a considerable period are good candidates to consider. Being part of a reputable company ensures your profits and potential losses are kept at minimal risk. Also watch for a company that has strong management and a solid branded product.

Distinguished economist and bestselling author Paul Zane Pilzer predicts 10 million new millionaires will be created in the United States between 2006 and 2016. This is more than double the previous ten years. How would you like to be a part of that? This is the business structure and model that is most likely to produce the majority of those millionaires in the upcoming years. We are entering a new era of network marketing and there is a lot of great predictions for the future.

MLM businesses operate in the United States in all 50 states and in more than 100 other countries, and new businesses may use terms like "affiliate marketing" or "home-based business franchising". However, many pyramid schemes try to present themselves as legitimate MLM businesses. You will need to choose wisely. Especially today with the ease of advertising and the facelessness of marketing on the internet, one needs to be able to evaluate companies well and do some due diligence before you commit.

We currently have a team of entrepreneurs who are pushing themselves to take their business to new heights and to earn considerable profits in the next 180 days. Take a look at what we are doing here, I am sure you will be able to use some of the information to hone your own marketing and business skills. Come visit us at www.180daystogreatness.com
